Biography
Kang Kibum
Kibum Kang, assistant professor of Materials Science and Engineering at KAIST, received his B.S and PhD from POSTECH, South Korea. After postdoc work with Jiwoong Park at Cornell and the University of Chicago, he joined KAIST in 2018. His research focuses on atomic-level engineering using MOCVD and nano/2D materials for next-gen semiconductors.
Shin, Byungha

Prof. Shin received his B.S. in MSE from Seoul National University, M.S. from the University of Michigan, and Ph.D. from Harvard. After postdoctoral work at Stanford and IBM Watson Research Center, he joined KAIST in 2014. His research focuses on materials for energy applications, including halide perovskites and thin-film solar cells.
Park, Steve

Prof. Steve Park, assistant professor at KAIST since 2016, holds degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from UIUC (B.S.) and Stanford (M.S., PhD). His research focuses on tactile sensing electronic skin, flexible electronics, and biosensors, with postdoctoral work at Columbia University.
Yeom, Jihyeon
Prof. Yeom, a faculty member since 2020, leads the Novel Nanomaterials and Platforms Lab at KAIST, focusing on bio-analysis using nanomaterials. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Michigan (2017) and conducted postdoctoral research at MIT. Her work has earned awards like the POSCO Science Fellow (2020).
